Installing the whiplash unit on folding seats

Install a new  whiplash element.

Install: 

• a new spring
• the locking washer.

Install: 

• the shaft
• the bushings
• the lock nut. Tighten the M8 screw and the nut. See: Summary of tightening torques for specific components .

Slide the entire whiplash unit up towards the backrest frame.

Hook on the spring using 9512943 .

Reinstall the upholstery.

Install: 

• the 4 X M10 screws for the backrest frame
• the cover
• the side panel.
