Installing the WHIPS system

The green indicator (G) supplied must only be installed on the deformation element in cars up to the following chassis number.

S60: -1499

Install:

the deformation element (F), the plastic washers and the O-ring
the spindle (E)
the nut (B). Tighten the nut. Tighten to 17 Nm +/-1 Nm
the spring (D).

Position the seat in the normal position.

NOTE:

The two plastic washers and the O-ring must be correctly positioned. Check that the indicator pin is intact and is correctly positioned after installation.

Reinstall all other removed components.
