Replacing Seat Belts After A Collision: Removal

WARNING: The ignition must not be switched on when the SRS ignition cable connector is being removed or installed.
WARNING: Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non-deployed seat belt tensioner. This could deploy it.
WARNING: After a collision, the seat belt (inertia) reels and tensioners must always be replaced. This applies even if no one was seated in the passenger seat at the time of the collision.
WARNING: Seat belt tensioners must never be unscrewed, repaired or moved to another vehicle. For information about what to do with used seat belt tensioners, see Handling Non-Deployed SRS-Components .
