Removing the Center Console

Slide the front seats backwards/downwards.

Apply the parking brake securely.

Shift the gear selector lever to neutral

Remove: 

• the side panel. See Replacing the Side Panel 
• the rubber mat in the storage compartment
• the 4 screws
• the panel for the gear selector. See Panel Boot Gear Selector, Replacing 
• the side piece for the parking brake. See Replacing the Parking Brake Panel 
• the rear ashtray. See Ashtray Rear, Replacing .

Disconnect the connectors.

Begin by carefully lifting the center console at the front edge. Lift the console past the guide lugs Then lift the rear edge and slide the center console over the parking brake.
