Crimping Tools

NOTE: The following tools are not included in Repair Kit, P/N 9814235 , Cable Terminals Box, P/N 9814232 , Cable Terminals Kit, P/N 9814233 , Cable Terminals Kit, P/N 9814234 and Special Tools, In Repair Kit P/N 9814235 .

Cable stripping tool

Used for stripping off the outer insulation on a cable to expose the core.

Use a good quality cable stripping tool offering a choice of strip lengths and cable areas.

Crimp tool, double crimp head

Used to crimp insulated butt connectors and insulated ring cable terminals.

Use a good quality crimping tool with a double crimp head. (The ABIKO KSA-0760 for example.)

Crimp tool, single crimp head

Used to crimp uninsulated ring cable terminals with closed tubular crimp connection.

Use Volvo P/N 9812451-4.

Hot-air gun

Hot-air gun used for heating and shrinking the insulation layer of moisture proof butt connectors.

Use Volvo P/N 1158284-8.
