The handsfree equipment consists of a microphone and a speaker.

The microphone is in the rear view mirror and is directly connected to the phone box. For aftermarket carphones, the microphone is a swan neck type, mounted in the head restraint on the driver's seat.

The loudspeaker is in the head restraint on the driver's seat and is directly connected to the phone module (PHM).

Only the handset works if there is a fault with the handsfree equipment.

There are diagnostics for the microphone and speaker.
