WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2006 Volvo S80, 2005 Volvo S80, 2004 Volvo S80, 2003 Volvo S80, and 2002 Volvo S80. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Climate control module (CCM) (3/112) receives the signals from the switches furthest down on the dashboard environment panel (7 in a row). Located here amongst other things are switches for private locking, child safety locks and reduced alarm.
NOTE:
The switches may be arranged in a different order from the one shown in the graphic depending on the vehicle's configuration and equipment.
When one of the switches is pressed the climate control module (CCM) sends a request over the CAN network to the rear electronic module (REM) that the corresponding function is activated or deactivated.
The climate control module (CCM) communicates with the rear electronic module (REM) via the low-speed side of the CAN network.
