Work in the engine compartment

NOTE: Always use new O-rings lubricated with compressor oil.

Position the pipe and hose connections on the compressor
Tighten to 25 Nm .

Thread the screws on to the upper mountings on the air conditioning aggregate
Tighten to 10 Nm .

Install the hose clamp and the charge air pipe and hose on the right-hand side (turbocharged engines only ).

Install the air pipe on the control module box.

Top up with oil. See Oil in the A/C system
Vacuum pump the system and leak test. See Refrigerant, draining
Fill the system and check for leaks. See Refrigerant, draining
Connect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing
