Pipe/hose, compressor, replacing: Removal

• Disconnect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing
• Drain the refrigerant from the system. See Refrigerant, draining .

Remove 

• the air pipe at the control module box
• the hose clamp and charge air pipe/hose on the right-hand side (turbocharged engines only  ). If necessary, use a hot air gun to make removal easier.

• Disconnect the pipe and hose between the compressor and the condenser.

• Remove the screws from the upper mountings on the air conditioning aggregate.

Work under the car 

• Remove the air baffle.

The lower mounting for the air conditioning aggregate 

• Slacken off the screw on the right-hand side
• Remove the screw on the left-hand side.

• Slightly lower the air conditioning aggregate on the left-hand side. This is to access the screw.

Remove 

• the screw from the hose/pipe coupling between the compressor and the condenser. Use a claw wrench
• the hose from the catch on the condenser. Carefully push the hose to one side.
