Pipe/hose, compressor, replacing: Removal

- Disconnect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing
- Drain the refrigerant from the system. See Refrigerant, draining .
Remove
- the air pipe at the control module box
- the hose clamp and charge air pipe/hose on the right-hand side (turbocharged engines only ). If necessary, use a hot air gun to make removal easier.
- Disconnect the pipe and hose between the compressor and the condenser.
- Remove the screws from the upper mountings on the air conditioning aggregate.
Work under the car
- Remove the air baffle.
The lower mounting for the air conditioning aggregate
- Slacken off the screw on the right-hand side
- Remove the screw on the left-hand side.
- Slightly lower the air conditioning aggregate on the left-hand side. This is to access the screw.
Remove
- the screw from the hose/pipe coupling between the compressor and the condenser. Use a claw wrench
- the hose from the catch on the condenser. Carefully push the hose to one side.
