Installing the pinion seal

The seal consists of 2 sections but is installed as one unit.

Lubricate the lip of the seal using oil for the Active on Demand Coupling, P/N 116 1641 (1 liter pack).

Use drift 9997024 for installation. Position the section of the seal with the largest outer diameter against the drift. Tap in the seal until the head of the drift is against the final drive housing.

Install the Active on Demand coupling. Fill with oil and check the level. See Clutch (AOC), replacing .
