Installing Lifting Tools

Installing lifting tools

Install lifting beam 9995716 . Install lifting hooks 9995460
Lift the engine to relieve the load on the engine pads.

Removing the charge air pipe and hose (6-cylinder turbocharged engines only)

Slacken off the 5 hose clamps for all the charge air pipes.

Remove the 2 screws from the charge air pipe on the intake manifold.

Separate all the charge air pipe. Leave the pipes lying on the spark plug cover.

Removing the spark plug cover

Remove:

the screws for the spark plug cover
the cover
the ground strip screw.

Applies only to turbocharged engines:

Remove the screws.

Lift up the delivery lines. Remove the spark plug cover.

Installing the lifting lug

Remove the 2 screws at the engine mounting.

Install lifting lug 9995717 .
