Aligning The Crankshaft

Remove

the mounting screws for the starter motor. Pull out the starter motor and place to one side.
the blind cover plug.

Turn the crankshaft clockwise slightly.

Install the crankshaft stop 9995451 . Ensure that it bottoms out against the engine block.

Turn the crankshaft counter-clockwise until it stops against the crankshaft stop.

Check that the marking on the crankshaft timing belt pulley aligns with the marking on the oil pump.
