Front seat belt: Preparations

CAUTION:

Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non-deployed seat belt tensioner. This could deploy it.

CAUTION:

Always replace the seat belt (inertia) reels with the seat belt tensioners and seat belt buckles after a collision. Always replace the seat belts, seat belt tensioners and seat belt buckles when an airbag has deployed. In the event of a collision where the airbag did not deploy the seat belt tensioners must be checked and replaced if necessary.

CAUTION:

Seat belt tensioners must never be unscrewed, repaired or moved to another vehicle.
