Adjusting the steering wheel

NOTE:

Applies to vehicle's with a 3 spoke steering wheel.

Fig 1: Identifying L Shaped Plastic Bracket (Broken Off)

Break off the L shaped plastic bracket.

NOTE:

Ensure that the broken piece does not remain in the steering wheel.

Carefully bend the cable harness down.

Smooth off the break surface on the steering wheel using a fine file or similar.

Remove the tape around the cable harness.

Spread the cable harness out as flat as possible.

Apply tape, P/N 9511097.

Bend up the outer surround slightly.

Bend one of the tape ends in between the outer and inner surround.

Carry out the same with the other tape end so that the tape overlaps on top.
