Checking power supply and ground terminals

Checking the power supply
- Check fuse 11/C25 in the passenger compartment fusebox for the SRS control module.NOTE: If a fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults before replacing the fuse. Then replace the fuse.
- Check the power supply cable between the X-supply from the ignition switch and control module terminal #27B (55) for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults
- Check the power supply cable between the 15-supply and control module terminal #28B (56). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .
Checking the ground terminal
- The SRS control module is grounded when it is screwed into place in the car.

- The voltage to terminal #27B (55) must be battery voltage when the ignition is in positions I and II
- The voltage to terminal #28B (56) must be battery voltage when the ignition is in positions I and II
- With the ignition off and the SRS control module installed, the resistance between the control module casing and the ground terminal must be approximately 0 Ω
