Removing power seat

HINT: Move the seat to its center position lengthways so that all the mounting points are accessible. Also move the seat to the highest position. 

Remove the multi-connector. See Removing multi-connector .

Remove: 

HINT: Angle the seat backward. Secure the seat so that it does not fall forwards. Certain operations can now be carried out. 

Lift the seat from the car.

NOTE:

Do not damage surfaces or materials when lifting the seat in and out of the car.

NOTE:

When removing a seat from a car with side airbags, the seat must be grounded. This is due to the danger of static electricity. Use special tool 9511522 .

NOTE:

Ensure that the extra ground lead clamps are secure.

HINT: Good ground terminals are the engine ground terminals, certain ground terminals in the car and good ground terminals in the work shop.
