Installing Rear Anti-Roll Bar

NOTE:
To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling .
NOTE:
The parking brake cable should lie above the anti-roll bar.
- Insert the anti-roll bar on the right-hand side first. Insert the left-hand side of the anti-roll bar past the removed shock absorber
- Install the screws holding the anti-roll bar in the sub-frame. Tighten to 80 Nm
- Install the right-hand rear outer mounting for the anti-roll bar. Finger tighten.
- Install the shock absorber in the control arm. Tighten the nut loosely.
- Lift the wheel unit using a mobile jack. Locate the anti-roll bar link
- Tighten the nuts on the anti-roll bar. Tighten to 80 Nm
on both sides.NOTE:
Use a Torx-wrench as a counterhold so that the boot is not damaged.
Install:
- parking brake cable mounting. Tighten to 25 Nm
- the plastic clip for the parking brake cable on the tie rod
- the exhaust pipe. See: Exhaust system, replacing
. Tighten the six mounting points. Tighten to 25 Nm
.NOTE:
Install a new flange gasket.
lower the car.
Drive the car onto a wheel track hoist. Tighten the lower screw for the shock absorber. Tighten to 80 Nm .
