Removing The Reserve Battery

Remove the radio/telephone. See Radio Cassette Player, Replacing .

Remove the keypad.

Remove two screws (Torx 6) as illustrated.

Open the cover and lift out the battery.

Press the catch with a screwdriver to unplug the connector.

NOTE:

Be very careful when releasing the catch. The connector and printed circuit board are fragile.

NOTE:

Mark a cross in the box on the battery decal when the reserve battery has been installed to prevent new and old batteries from being mixed up.
