The rear audio separation module (RAS) is enclosed in a casing of ribbed aluminum with installation holes.

The rear audio separation module is a unit with dual functions. The first is the production of continual infrared signals via "control module infrared transfer" for "wireless headphones" (audio is in headphone mode as standard). The second is integration with the vehicle's rear speakers for media selection.
