Lower the sub-frame

Start by lowering the front of the sub-frame by half of the tool thread (1).

Repeat the procedure at the rear end (2).

Now lower the frame to the full length of the tool as described above.

Cars with turbocharged engines: 

Check while lowering that the charge air pipe by the lower charge air cooler (CAC) connection does not catch on the radiator

NOTE:

It is important to lower the sub-frame in the right order. Otherwise the steering shaft joint will catch in the lead-in in the bodywork.
