Installing the brake pads

NOTE:

The rear brake pads on the piston side for the XC90 are different on the left and right-hand sides. The brake pads are marked with an arrow indicating the direction of the disc and with an L for the left-hand side and an R for the right-hand side.

Press piston back into cylinder on brake caliper.

Check that the dust cover is correctly positioned.

Install:

NOTE:

Check the rubber sleeves of the locating pins. Replace if necessary.

Insert the locating pins in the rubber sleeves.

Tighten the locating pins. Tighten. See: Tightening torque .

Install protective caps (1).

Install the retaining spring (3).
