Changing transmission fluid

Remove the splash guard.

WARNING: Avoid skin contact with the specified material.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Remove the integrated level plug (Torx 40).

Remove the draining plug.

Drain the transmission fluid.

Install the drain plug. Use a new gasket, lubricate it with ATF oil. Tighten. See Tightening torque

Reinstall the level plug. Hand tighten. Reuse the O-ring.

Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing

CAUTION: Make sure that tools and equipment are clean, free of foreign material and lubricant.

Remove filler plug (Torx 55).

Lower a filler nozzle or a hose with funnel into the filler hole.

Install the air cleaner (ACL) housing.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Remove the oil cooler's return line from the transmission.

Remove the oil cooler's return hose from the oil cooler.

Install the return line on the oil cooler as shown.

Install hose on the return line with a hose clamp. See 9997363

CAUTION: The plastic hose is quite hard. Tighten the hose clamp hard to avoid leakage in the connection.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Fill with 4l of oil. Use transmission fluid. See Lubrication transmission

Apply the parking brake. Move the gear selector lever to position P.

Start and run the engine at idle.

Shift through all the positions between P and D on the gear selector. Stop for 2 seconds per position. Switch off when air bubbles are visible in the hose.

Fill with 2 liters of oil. Start the engine again and allow it to idle. Switch off when air bubbles are visible in the hose.

Fill with 2 liters of oil again. Start the engine and allow it to idle. Switch off when air bubbles are visible in the hose.

Install return hose to transmission and oil cooler.

Remove the integrated level plug.

Top up with oil until it starts to run out of the transmission.

Install the level plug by hand.

Check the oil level. See Oil level, checking 

Reset the counter when replacing the transmission.
