System description of the Occupant weight sensor (OWS)

The occupant weight sensor (OWS) has a pressure sensor/cushion filled with silicon located under the front seat cushion of the passenger seat.
CAUTION:
Silicon can:
- damage surrounding materials
- interfere with the functions of electrical components
- make the application of paint and adhesive difficult.
