Rear window installation

For handling PUR on the body flange, see PUR on body flange .

Clean the surface of the window where the PUR glue is to be applied using H cleaner (black cap).

Apply the glass activator (yellow cap) onto the surface of the window where the PUR glue is to be applied.

Apply the glass primer (green cap) onto the surface of the window where the PUR glue is to be applied.

Apply plenty of it but do not permit it to run.

Allow the primer to dry until the surface is matt.

The spacers (1) are glued on the window.

The spacers (2) are integrated in the strip on the window.

Apply PUR-RIM activator (blue cap) to the remaining PUR bead on the body flange.

Load the PUR gun.

Use the white nozzle.

Apply glue to the window or on the body flange.

Take care that the PUR glue does not soil the connections for:

• electrically heated rear window (3).
• TV antenna (4).
• radio antenna (5).

It does not matter if connections 4 and 5 are reversed.

They use the same circuit in the window.

Install the window.

Secure to the roof with a few strips of tape so that the window does not slide down.

Connect the contacts.

Reinstall the removed components.
