Making holes

Tape the template for making holes into place. Align the template against the air evacuation hole. When taping in position, ensure that the template follows the profile (1) of the plate.

Mark the holes using a center punch.

NOTE: Check that the cable harness has been moved away from the area behind.

Pre-drill with a 3 mm diameter drill bit.

Finish with a 7 mm diameter drill bit.

Smooth off any sharp edges.

Carefully sand down the inside and outside.

Rust-proof both the insides and outsides of the holes. Use high viscosity rust proofing agent 951 0227.
