Checking the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor: Notes
- Check that engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor displays a temperature within its permitted range compared to the temperature which the engine is determined to have
HINT: The comparison should be made both with the engine cold and with the engine at operating temperature. Or at the temperature where the problem occurs.
HINT: Check the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
