Actual Adaptation Range

This parameter displays which of the six adaptation ranges the engine is in.

B5244S/S2, Model year 2001-2002

Area  Load  Driving conditions
1 0.2 g/rev Downhill deceleration without fuel shut-off.
2 0.3 g/rev Idling.
3 0.4 g/rev Steady at approximately 50 km/h on a flat road.
4 0.6 g/rev Steady at approximately 100 km/h on a flat road.
5 0.8 g/rev Gentle accelerations. Slightly higher speeds.
6 1.0 g/rev Accelerations and full load.
NOTE:

Note that the air conditioning (A/C) compressor increases the load by approximately 0.05 g per RPM. The use of the AC compressor often results in a change of adaptation area.

HINT: The adaptations are weighted between the values of each adaptation point in an adaptation area.
