Checking Power Supply Terminal
- Check fuse 11 B/2. If the fuse is blown check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .
- Check the power supply to throttle unit #6. The voltage should be approximately battery voltage.
Checking Ground Terminal
- Check the ground lead between throttle unit #5 and engine ground terminal ETM 31/91 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
- Check the throttle unit ground terminal for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
Remedy as necessary
Other information
- Power supply to electronic throttle module #6 is from fuse 11 B/2 via the system relay.
- Ground terminal 31/91 for the electronic throttle module is located on the front of the cylinder block above the starter motor
