Checking Component And Wiring

Check reset valve camshaft resistance between #1 and #2, resistance should be approximately 3.7 ohm.

Check signal cable between engine control module (ECM) #A13 and camshaft reset #2 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Check power supply cable #5 and camshaft reset valve #1 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.

With the ignition on and the camshaft reset valve connector disconnected the voltage at connector #1 should be approximately Ubat and at connector #2 it should be a pulse modulated signal with a peak voltage of approximately Ubat and with a frequency of approximately 250 Hz.
