Signal Too High: Verification
HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate reading off the actual and desired values for the reset valve. Check that they are approximately the same at different engine speeds (RPM).
The values cannot be compared at idle speed, when variable valve timing (VVT) is at 0. Variable valve timing (VVT) is also at 0 when a fault is stored. When the car is stationary, it may be difficult for the variable valve timing (VVT) to change unless a quick and powerful surge occurs. This is because the load is too low. However, variable valve timing (VVT) is always activated at extremely high engine speeds (RPM).
Is the function OK?
Is the value within its permitted range?
- YES
VERIFIED: Troubleshooting has been completed.
- NO
