Checking Wiring And Connectors
Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #A12 and connector terminal #2 (on the camshaft reset valve). Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
Check the power supply cables, terminal #5 and connector terminal #1 (on the camshaft reset valve). Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .

- With the ignition on and the reset valve connector disconnected, the voltage at connector #1 must be approximately Ubat and at connector terminal #2 it must be a pulse modulated signal with a peak voltage of approximately Ubat and with a frequency of approximately 250 Hz
