Checking the wiring and component

HINT: If any of the signal values from the oil level sensor are incorrect but at least one is correct, the oil level sensor is damaged. 

Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #A68 (#B8) and oil level sensor terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

HINT: With the ignition on, the voltage between terminals #2 and #3 must be 5 V, with the reading taken at the oil level sensor connector. 

Try a new oil level sensor if no fault is found and the fault is permanent.

Remedy as necessary.
