Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-5100

Condition 

One or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) which affect emissions are stored in the transmission control module (TMC).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the transmission control module (TCM) has transmitted a request to light the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
