Reading off the test results / the fuel tank values
Key for interpreting the results of the read off
| Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) | Codes | Quantity of fuel in the fuel tank |
Test result | Corrective action |
| ECM-4047 | EVAP canister shut-off valve clogged Canister purge (CP) valve leakage |
See the relevant valve for the values | See the relevant valve for the values | Check whether the EVAP canister shut-off valve is clogged and whether the canister purge (CP) valve is leaking |
| ECM-4047 | Canister purge (CP) valve leakage | 10 l 30 l 60 l |
>100 >70 >50 |
The canister purge (CP) valve is leaking |
| ECM-4047 | EVAP canister shut-off valve clogged | 60 l 30 l 10 l |
>100 >70 >50 |
Check whether the EVAP canister shut-off valve is blocked |
| ECM-4308 | Small leak | >100 | Check for leakage in the fuel tank system | |
| ECM-4308 | Rough leak | >253 | Check for leakage in the fuel tank system |
Information
Check the EVAP canister shut-off valve if the test results show:
- above 100 at approximately 60 liters of fuel in the tank
- above 70 at approximately 30 liters of fuel in the tank
- above 50 at approximately 10 liters of fuel in the tank.
Check the canister purge (CP) valve if the test results show:
- above 100 at approximately 10 liters of fuel in the tank
- above 70 at approximately 30 liters of fuel in the tank
- above 50 at approximately 60 liters of fuel in the tank.
