Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-4038

Condition 

The engine control module (ECM) checks the pressure in the fuel tank by measuring the current through the leak diagnostic pump.

If the engine control module (ECM) registers that the pressure does not reach a certain level the engine control module (ECM) interprets this as the fuel tank filler cap missing. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4038 is stored in the control module.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4038 can be diagnosed when the leak diagnostic is running.
