Installing the fuel tank
CAUTION:
Before installation, check that the pipe ends and connections are undamaged.
CAUTION:
Tighten the pipe couplings. See Tightening pipe connections
.
Use the lifting table, covered by a soft underlay.
Place the tank on the lifting table. Turn the tank to approximately the correct position for the gas terminals.
Lift the gas tank into position.
Install the tank between the members and other sections of the bodywork so that none of the components are rubbing against each other.
HINT: The hole in the collar of the guard must be pointing downwards.
Install:
- the tank retaining strapCAUTION: Ensure that the rubber liner on the tank strap covers the whole tank strap. The tank strap must not touch the tank.
- the cable harness
- the gas pipe.
NOTE:
Ensure that the connectors are aligned with the pipes. The position of the gas pipes must not be adjusted.
Tighten the pipe couplings.
Tighten the tank retaining strap screws. Tighten to 25 Nm .
Install exhaust pipe.
Lower the car.
Connect the connector in the cargo compartment.
Check for leakage. See Gas pipe, checking for leaks .
Install the guard for the gas tank.
