Cleaning the gasket faces

Clean the gasket faces for: 

• the manifold. Check that the studs are tightened and not damaged
• the coolant bypass channel
• the thermostat housing
• the intake manifold
• the cylinder block
• camshaft cover.

Blow the oil ducts clean.
