Removing the air cleaner (ACL)

Remove the hose clamp from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. Disconnect the connector from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Remove: 

• the 4 x screws for the fresh air intake (1) between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL). Remove the hose
• the 3 x screws for the air cleaner (ACL)
• the air cleaner (ACL) (2) assembly
• the charge air pipe between the charge air cooler (CAC) and the electronic throttle module (ETM).
