Installing The Drive Shaft In The Transmission

Lubricate the mating surface at the end of the drive shaft. Use oil. See: Lubrication transmission 

Press the drive shaft into the gearbox.

CAUTION:

Check that the catch goes into the groove by pulling the drive shaft constant velocity joint, not the drive shaft. There is no axle stop in the inner joint.
