Detaching The Final Drive Housing

Position mobile jack 9985972 and universal plate 9995972 against the cover and the Active on Demand coupling / final drive.

Remove the 8 screws from the cover and the screw from the front bushing on the final drive.

Position thick cloths between the drive shafts and the inner sections on the trailing arms.

Lower the hoist with the cover. Leave the final drive housing hanging from the drive shafts.

NOTE:

Check that the bleed hose on top of the final drive is not kinked or stretched. Check that the cable harness for the Active on Demand coupling does not stretch when the final drive housing is lowered.
