Removing The Oil Pump

NOTE:

Thoroughly clean around the oil pump before beginning removal.

Position a container underneath the Active on Demand Coupling.

Disconnect the connector for the oil pump. Remove the tie strap.

Remove the bracket and the connector for the control module.

Remove the 2 screws for the oil pump. Pull the pump straight out of the coupling.

NOTE:

Later versions of the oil pump have the socket for the cable harness on the side of the oil pump housing. The cable harness is shorter. This version supersedes all previous versions, including as a replacement part.
