To achieve the correct position of the bushing when installing. Make a mark directly opposite the cut-out in the edge of the bushing and straight down the side.

Make a mark directly opposite the edge that is formed between the cast surface and the machined surface on the final drive housing, as illustrated.

Position the mark on the bushing directly opposite the mark on the final drive housing.
