Checking and cleaning
Clean:
- the mating faces of the wheel hub in the wheel spindle
- the wheel sensor
- the sensor seat in the wheel spindle so it is absolutely clean
- the wheel sensor. Use a soft brush.

Clean:
- drive shaft end, especially rust on the edges.
(Outer wheel hub sealing ring will rest against this surface).
- the mating surfaces for wheel hub in stub axle
- the wheel sensor
- the seat for the sensor in the stub axle to ensure it is absolutely clean
- the wheel sensor. Use a soft brush.
Greasing the seal
Lubricate the wheel bearing sealing lip abutting the drive shaft with a little wheel bearing grease. P/N 1161689.
Brush high pressure grease, P/N 1161246 onto the drive shaft so that the splines on the rear half of the drive shaft pin are filled.
