Manual Bleeding

NOTE: Before bleeding brakes, ensure ignition is off. Clean around brake fluid reservoir filler cap before removing. Top-off brake fluid reservoir as necessary.
NOTE: Use DOT 4 brake fluid.
  1. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove protective cap from left front bleed nipple.
  3. Connect the hose from collection bottle.
  4. Depress brake pedal a few times. Maintain pressure.
  5. Open left front bleed nipple.
  6. Depress brake pedal fully. Keep it fully depressed for approximately 5 seconds. Release it again.
  7. Repeat this 3-5 times until there are no air bubbles in fluid coming out of hose.
  8. Tighten bleed nipple.
  9. Remove hose from bleed nipple. Install protective cap.
  10. Repeat procedure for right rear, left rear and right front brakes. See BRAKE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  table.
