GPS Receiver

The vehicle position is calculated by the GPS receiver: 

• from the signal from the GPS antenna,
• from wheel pulses from the ABS control unit to calculate the distance,
• whether the car is reversing or not.

If there is no signal from the GPS antenna, the position is calculated using the wheel pulses. This is known as Dead Reckoning (DR).
