Fault-Tracing Information

Check the function of the rheostat in the audio unit by increasing and lowering the instrument lighting.

HINT: If the rheostat function is not working in the audio unit either, the fault is not in the road traffic information (RTI) control module. 

Is the function of the audio unit rheostat OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to Replacing the Component 

• NO 

  FAULT NOT FOUND:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
