Checking the Component
- Check that the fuses for the RTI (road traffic information) and audio control module are intact. The fuses are located in the passenger compartment and the cargo area fuse boxes
- Ignition on.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K1 and #K5. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K2 and #K5. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K3 and #K4. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Check the cable between display screen terminal #J4 and control module terminal #C4. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
