Checking the Component
- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Activate the System test to test the CD-ROM player. See System Test
.
Check if the CD-ROM player is OK or not. If the CD-ROM player is functioning, OK is displayed.
HINT: The CD cartridge must be installed in the CD-ROM player.
Is the CD-ROM player OK?
- YES
FAULT NOT FOUND: Troubleshooting has been completed.
- NO

Check fuse #10 in the cargo compartment fusebox.
Ignition on.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K1 and #K2. Voltage should be approximately 12 V.
Check the cable between the CD ROM changer terminal #K3 and control module terminal #A7. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable between the CD ROM changer terminal #K4 and control module terminal #A20. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable between the CD ROM changer terminal #K5 and control module terminal #A19. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
