Checking the component

NOTE: Check the windshield amplifier connection to the windshield. Check that the cable from the button is pointing towards the C-post. Check the connection for loose connection.

Check that connector C is correctly connected.

Check the cable between the main unit/audio control module terminal #C1 and the windshield amplifier (center terminal). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .

Check the cable between the main unit/audio control module terminal #C2 and the sub-antenna amplifier (center terminal). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.
