Cable routing
- Position the new cable harness in the compartment for the radio.
- Route the wiring (1) for the microphone and the loudspeaker down inside the center console. Continue under the carpet and out by the carpet joint under the front edge of the seat.
- Route the cable (2) for the handset down inside the center console. Continue inside the carpet and along the center console to the rear edge of the center console.
- Route the cable (3) for the antenna down along the right-hand side of the center console, along the air ducts.
- Continue to route the cable (3) inside the carpet on the right hand side of the center console and inside the front edge of the carpet. Continue up along the right end of the dashboard to the cable from the antenna
- Connect both connectors to each other. Wrap foam tape around them. Secure them properly.
Reinstall:
- The A post panel and the panel end for the dashboard.
- the rubber strip and the sill trim panel for the right-hand front door.
- the panel under the right hand side of the dashboard.
- Connect the cables (1) to the two cables (2) from the head restraint.
- Secure the connectors for the SIPS pipe under the front edge of the seat.
- Adjust the length of the wiring so that the seat can move between the limit positions without stretching the wiring.
- Hide the cable excess inside the carpet.
- Reinstall the cover for the seat mounting.
